After her dishwasher left her high and dry over some boy drama, Maddie had no choice but to seek help from the new guy Cole to help her. Maddie is a Cook at an Inn, and the kitchen has always been her home. After making a a not so typical deal with Cole to continue to work through the season, Maddie starts to feel off balance.

Cole was always on the run. Living with his grandfather he hoped to settle down in the town. Only his future depends on trusting a businessman to keep his secret.

Be careful who you trust, but also allow yourself to trust.

So much of the events that happened seemed shifty to me. I don’t know if the author did this intentionally, but I felt like I seemed to over judge and question every character trying to figure out the mystery. I think that by the time the ending was revealed, I didn’t have enough time to appreciate the good characters. I think the author should of changed to pronoun in the title.

The love in this story was best part. The author did a good job on love speed. The love wasn’t too quick and evolved over time. I like that it started as lust, then properly transition to appreciation. Cole was a totally great character.

My Thoughts:

It’s all about trusting in the person, instead of whats being said about them. I wish that Cole would have opened up when he expected her too. The authors writing felt normal. There was an ease to reading it. Though I enjoyed the love story I felt like there were some things missing. I gave this story a 3/5 stars. I liked the pace and speed of this novel.
