This is my first serious fantasy book. I have learned to open up my thinking with this book. I first, thought this book would be a romantic beauty and the beast retelling. It was so much more. It was a deep story with individual monsters and characters. I can’t wait to read the next book. I ended up spoiling myself because, it was so intense. I stayed up long nights trying to finish the story. I think because of this I will read more fantasy books. This received 4 out of 5 stars from me.
